Medical Weight Loss
Physician-guided GLP-1 therapy to support sustainable weight loss.
What Is GLP-1 Medical Weight Loss?
GLP-1 receptor agonists are prescription medications used to support weight loss by regulating appetite, slowing gastric emptying, and improving insulin sensitivity. These medications help reduce hunger and cravings, making it easier to maintain healthy eating habits and achieve gradual, sustainable weight loss.
Our medical weight loss program uses GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, combined with ongoing medical supervision to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Benefits of GLP-1 Therapy
- Gradual and sustainable weight loss
- Reduced appetite and cravings
- Improved blood sugar regulation
- Support for long-term lifestyle changes
- Physician oversight throughout treatment
Individual results vary based on dosage, adherence, and lifestyle factors.
Who This Treatment Is For
You may be a candidate for GLP-1 medical weight loss if you:
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of 20 or above
- Have struggled with weight loss through diet and exercise alone
- Are committed to long-term lifestyle changes
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
Patients with certain medical conditions, including a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2, or pancreatitis, may not be eligible. A full medical evaluation is required to determine suitability.
Your First Visit
- Consultation & First Dose - You will complete consent forms in office and a brief telemedicine visit with our Medical Director to be cleared for treatment. Your first dose is administered in-office (or at home if a mobile visit) by an Elevate injector, who will also teach you how to safely self-inject at home. You will inject once every 7 days. Always wait a full 7 days between doses. Do not double your dose if a week is missed.
- Treatment Plan - Each month, you will receive four pre-filled syringes to take home for convenient weekly dosing.
This approach ensures treatment remains safe, effective, and tailored to your needs.
What Are Common Side Effects?
- Nausea & Acid Reflux: These may be triggered by fatty or greasy foods. You can help reduce symptoms by increasing your water intake and using an antacid such as Pepcid.
- Constipation: This can occur because the medication slows how quickly your stomach processes food. Increase your water intake and consider using a stool softener or fiber supplements.
- Increased Fertility: Weight loss and improved hormone balance may increase fertility in females.
What Will My Follow-Up Appointments Look Like?
- You will visit our office once a month to receive your medication refill. Your dose may be increased monthly, but only when your current dose is no longer effective. Signs it may be time to increase include increased hunger or a plateau in weight loss. Our team is always available to support you. You will have ongoing access to our team for any questions, concerns, or guidance throughout your treatment.
While On Treatment
- Administer injections exactly as directed (once every 7 days). Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.
- Drink 3-4 liters (120 ounces) of water daily. This is the most important key to maximize weight loss and reduce side effects.
- Aim to eat foods high in protein and low in carbs/fat to maximize weight loss results.
- Eat at least 80 grams of protein daily. This will help prevent muscle loss and hair loss while you lose weight.
- Avoid fatty/greasy foods, sweets and alcohol. They will upset your stomach.
- Report any side effects (nausea, constipation, low blood sugar) promptly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly will I lose weight?
- Most patients see gradual loss within the first month, with significant changes by 12 weeks. Results vary based on dosage, lifestyle and individual metabolism. Semaglutide has on average 12% body weight loss over 12 months. Tirzepatide has on average 25% body weight loss over 12 months.
Are GLP-1 medications safe long term?
- Clinical studies show they are generally safe when monitored by a physician. All of our clients are overseen by our Medical Director and Nurse Practitioners to ensure client safety.
Will weight return if I stop treatment?
- Lifestyle changes are critical for maintaining results. Some patients continue on a lower maintenance dose; others transition to peptides or lifestyle-only plans.
Is There a Maintenance Program?
- Yes! Once you reach your goal weight, we will slowly decrease your dose. Then we will begin stretching your injections out to once every 2 weeks instead of once a week. This will start gradually introducing your body’s hunger signals and help you regulate food intake as your hunger starts coming back. We offer peptides and MICC skinny shots that are a natural way to increase your metabolism, curb your cravings and appetite, and help maintain your weight loss.
Do You Offer Micro-Dosing?
- Yes! Microdosing is perfect for clients looking to reduce inflammation, reduce appetite and regulate hormones associated with PCOS. Micro-dosing is also great for maintaining weight loss.
